Much of that heat enters through sunny windows, poorly sealed openings, hot roofs, and everyday appliances. Once indoor surfaces become warm, the home may remain uncomfortable long after the outdoor temperature begins to fall.

Keeping a home cool requires more than lowering the thermostat. The most effective approach is to block heat before it enters, improve airflow, reduce indoor heat production, and cool the building during the right hours. Block Direct Sunlight Early
